The Ryan Soelberg Trophy is awarded to the playoff champion of the Wayne Gretzky Conference. It is named in honor of the founder of the Challenge Cup Fantasy Hockey League, the predecessor to the DFHL, and was previously awarded to the regular season champion of that league.
Named after the first (and only) commissioner of the DFHL, the Clark Rasmussen Trophy was awarded to the playoff champion of the Wayne Gretzky Conference. This award was replaced in Season Ten by the Ryan Soelberg Trophy.
The Inauguration Cup is awarded to the champions of the preseason Challenge Tournament. It was originally intended to be awarded only once, at the start of the league's first season, but the Challenge Tournament continued for additional seasons and the trophy was awarded again. It was retired from Season Three through Season Six and replaced by the Barry Moore Memorial Trophy but came back into use for Season Seven.
Named in honor of former Chicago general manager Barry Moore, who passed away during the DFHL's third season, the Barry Moore Memorial Trophy was originally awarded to the championship team in the Challenge Tournament. At the end of Season Six, it was repurposed to be awarded to the league's best general manager, as voted by the other GMs. Note: This award cannot be won by the same GM two seasons in a row.
The Bobby Hull Award is awarded to the top point scorer in the DFHL's regular season. It was first officially awarded in Season Six but earlier seasons' top scorers were given the award retroactively.
The George Hainsworth Trophy is awarded to the goaltender with the lowest goals against average (having played at least 1/3 of the possible minutes) in the DFHL's regular season. It was first officially awarded in Season Six but earlier seasons' top goalies were given the award retroactively.
The Frank Nighbor Award is awarded to the most valuable player of the regular season, as voted by the general managers of the DFHL. Prior to Season Six, it was awarded to the player who earned the most "Star Points" throughout the regular season.
The Jean Beliveau Award is awarded to the most valuable player of the playoffs, as voted by the general managers of the DFHL. Prior to Season Six, it was awarded to the player who accumulated the most "Star Points" throughout the playoffs.
The Carl Voss Award is awarded to the best rookie of the regular season, as voted by the general managers of the DFHL. It was first awarded in Season Ten.
